» Violent protest breaks out over neglect and underdevelopment in Dominican Republic
While the Dominican government was busy admiring the Metro under construction in the capital, violent protests broke out in Villa Bao today when hundreds of working-class sisters and brothers demanding the paving of streets, the construction of a high school and an improvement in energy service blockaded streets with logs, stones and burning tires and mattresses and threw debris at government vehicles.
